The ecological oasis of the S. Liberato is an artificial lake that is not far from the city of Narni.  It was created by blocking the Nera River. It has a capacity for 6 milion cubic meters of water. The lake is host to a number of different species of flora and fauna.  Birds live in the oasis created by the artificial lake some of which are sedentary and others are migratory.
